R. W. MOORE

Funded in the amount of $1000.00 by Garner Educational Foundation in recognition of the vision and service of Mr. R.W. Moore for education of Garner students. 

NATIONAL PAWN SCHOLARSHIP(S)

Funded in the amount of $1000.00 each by Mr. Bob Moulton, CEO of National Pawn.  His goal is to recognize and support Garner students. 

 

MAYOR OF GARNER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

Funded in the amount of $1000.00 by the Garner Educational Foundation to candidates enrolling a program that leads to a career in education.

 

GARNER TOWN COUNCIL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

Funded in the amount of $1000.00 by the Garner Educational Foundation to candidates enrolling in a program that leads to a career in education.

 

DON AND BETTY ROHRBAUGH FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

Funded by the Rohrbaugh family in the amount of $1000.00 for a student enrolled in a four-year degree program in engineering or a science/technology degree.

 

THE CAROLINE BALL FAMILY FOUNDATION

Funded in the amount of $1000.00 by the Ball Family to assist a teacher currently working in special education or a prospective teacher majoring in the special education field.

 

THE MARJORIE B. BAREFOOT OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

Funded in the amount of $1000.00 by Bart Barefoot to support a student in studies to sustain and enhance their contribution to the Garner community as well as the broader society.

 

THE RED STAR OIL COMPANY SCHOLARSHIP

Funded in the amount of $1000.00 to show the Company’s appreciation of Garner students and to recognize a student showing educational achievement and community involvement.

 

THE BONNIE CALHOUN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

Funded in the amount of $1000.00 by the Calhoun family to be awarded to a student pursuing a degree in teaching.

 

THE HAMLIN COMPANY

Funded in the amount of $1000.00 to support a deserving Garner student who has demonstrated a commitment to make a difference in our community and the world. 

 

THE MONES SAAD SCHOLARSHIP 

Funded by his children in the amount of $1000.00 to support a student who has demonstrated responsibility and service in academics and personal achievement for enhancing the community.

 

THE JORDAN DRIVING SCHOOL

Funded in the amount of $1000.00 by Lorraine Jordan to support a student planning studies related to safety and security and law enforcement.

 

            Weighted factors for all applications include, but are not limited to:

-Academic record as presented by a required official transcript or grade report from Power School

-Review of extracurricular activities

-Personal statement

-References

-Select scholarships may be needs-based and/or career intention specific
